The 1st Think Tank 2022 Sherpa Meeting: Advancing Peace on the Korean Peninsula Through Regional Security, Food Security and Cultural Cooperation

Advancing peace and security on the Korean Peninsula has always been the inspiration and commitment of the Koreans on both sides and people in Asia. Firstly, peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula needs to be put in a regional context. Secondly, food insecurity is a pertinent issue facing many other countries, including North Korea. Thirdly, promoting cultural connectivity through cultural exchanges and people-to-people connections by harnessing the abundant cultural heritage and ancient and contemporary cultural corridors can be another key tool to advancing peace, security and shared prosperity. It will also promote mutual understanding, tolerance, inter-faith harmony and a culture of peace.
This first Think Tank 2022 (TT22) Sherpa Meeting is inspired by the vision of Think Tank 2022, adopted at the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) 7th Rally of Hope conducted virtually on 12th September 2021 to foster Track II peace projects in the region. It aims to solicit inputs to prepare for the World Summit.
